I woke up screaming for help and would go out of unconsciousness on and off again for hours. I remember passing out at one point and seeing a light followed with a voice saying, “It’s not your time.” I woke right up after the voice, hearing an ATV up on the path we had taken. I started screaming for help and that’s when I was found by another hunter, after I passed out once again.

He climbed down to get to me and Dory and that’s when I found out she was dead. I thought she landed above me and her hair was by mine. It turned out she was by my feet. I clearly remember her right by my head the whole time I was stuck under the dead tree. I still can't understand the fact she wasn't by my head.

Now, after the accident, when I watch any TV or see anything on news, I start to feel when someone has passed away. I just have to see their picture and I just know. It has happened every time. I sense when people have passed away. I can't talk about anyone or anything like that or even see them. It's just the sense I know that they are no longer here.
